Happy 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Movies 101: 10 movies of 2010

To welcome 2011, I compiled a lists of my top 10 favorite movies of 2010. Some of you might wonder why movies such as Wall Street or The Social Network isn’t included on my list. Well, I haven’t watched those yet! So, here is my lists! Enjoy!

10. Step Up 3d – ok, I admit, the movie isn’t so great. But what makes this movie really interesting is it’s 3d effects. Dancing and 3d have never been done before (I think) and this is a good way to prove that mixing up dance and 3d could actually be pretty cool.

9. Letters To Juliet – A simple love story set in Italy. I would love to go there someday.

8. The Karate Kid – I have to admit, I’ve never watched the first (3) movies, so I have nothing to compare this movie to. What I love most about this film is Jaden Smith’s charisma. Also, Jackie Chan is in it and I’m such a fan!

7. Iron Man 2 – This movie left me a little too short. The fight scene in the end left me wanting for more. I think Scarlett Johannsen’s character, Natalie/Natasha have more fight scenes than Mr. Iron Man. But, I do love the movie and I found Tony Stark funny.

6. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole – I’ve watched the film in 3d and the visuals are amazing. And although the film felt a little rush (that’s what you get for combining 3 books in 1 movie!), I still think it’s a good movie and the characters are all so cute! I would also love to see the characters again if ever there would be a sequel.

5. Despicable Me – a cute and funny movie especially Agnes and her love for unicorn!

4. Alice In Wonderland – Alice is all grown-up and she’s coming back to underland (wonderland). I like how Tim Burton puts the “Mad” in this film. Plus, Johny Depp is such a great actor, I’ve never even thought of the Mad Hatter as a central figure to the story.

3.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – I am a Harry Potter freak, all I can say is, I can’t wait for the second part of this movie. I think it’s a great idea that they’ve decided to split this movie into two, because a lot of things happen in the final book and I’m glad that they’re all being given their due time and importance in the film.

2.Inception - Christopher Nolan is a genius! This movie made me think and watched at the same time, and I do admit that my head hurts after watching this film. A really good movie, one of the best I’ve watched in years, and it stars, among others, Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordan-Levitt which are total hotties, such a plus. :)

1.Toy Story 3 - The main reason why this film top my list is beacause I’m such a kid and Toy Story 1 & 2 has been my favorite animated film ever. Barely five minutes of the movie have passed and I’m already crying like a little kid. I love this movie so much, and I guess so is every person who grew up to this story. Definitely, one of the best animated movie ever.

So, that’s my list for 2010. See you all in 2011.

Quote of the Day 1

"What is the opposite of dark? Light.
What is the opposite of love? Hate.
What is the opposite of dreams? Nothing.
So why not pursue the dream? It is everything."

a 2-year hiatus from writing on this site

It's been too long since I last wrote anything in here. The reason is after cleaning my inbox, I've found out that I have too many blogs, that doesn't get updated at all. So after checking all of them I've decided to retain this blog and to continue with what I've started here. So, hopefully in a few days I could start writing here about some of the things that I'm passionate about and start from there.
